The Associate in General Studies (AGS) Degree is often selected by students in Fine Arts who are required to spread their general education credits over four years due to the art and music studio requirements. This degree provides a general background for students seeking a general educational experience preparing to enter the world of work or for life enrichment.

General Education Requirements (minimum of 18 credits required)
English Composition (3 credits)
Humanities and Fine Arts (3 credits)
- Complete any 100 level or higher Humanities course Credits 3 / 3 Contact Hours
Social Science (3 credits)
- Complete any 100 level or higher Social Science course Credits 3 / 3 Contact Hours
Mathematics (3-4 credits)
- Test out by placing into MATH 120 or higher on the MCC Placement test OR Complete any 100 level or higher Mathematics course Credits 3-4 / 3-4
Additional General Education Credits to Fulfill General Education Requirements
- Credits should be selected according to your degree program from Humanities, Social Science, Math, Natural Science, and Information Technology Credits 5-6 / 5-6 Contact Hours

Notes:
- No more than 50% of credits required in specialized course work, unique to a program, can be transferred from another institution to be applied toward graduation from Mott Community College.
