MATH-140 TrigonometryCredits 3 / 3 Contact Hours Pre-requisite: Placement into RDNG-030 (ACSR-030), completion of ELAP-110 with a minimum grade of 2.0, or successful completion of RDNG-016 or ACLT-074 with a minimum grade of 3.0. Pre-requisite: MATH 120 or MATH 123 or MATH 128 with a 2.0 or higher, or placement into MATH-130. This course is designed for the student who has completed Intermediate Algebra or one and one-half years of High School Algebra and Plane Geometry. Topics studied include trigonometric functions, their graphs and identities, right and oblique triangle trigonometry, radians, trigonometric equations and linear and angular velocity.
Course Outcomes 1. Prepare the student for Calculus 2. Expose the student to applications of trigonometry to related fields.
