The Associate of Applied Science in Automotive Technology provides comprehensive training in automotive maintenance and repair, equipping students with essential technical and problem-solving skills. The curriculum emphasizes both foundational knowledge and evolving technologies, ensuring graduates are prepared to transition to the workforce or transfer to a 4-year Institution. Accredited by the ASE Education Foundation, the program covers all eight core areas of automotive service. Hands-on learning is integral, allowing students to apply skills in real-world settings and develop lifelong technical competencies. To progress through the program, students must earn a minimum grade of 2.0 in all occupational courses.

Computer Competency Requirement


Beginning 2016, demonstration of computer competency is a degree requirement at Mott Community College

Computer competency can be demonstrated by one of two ways:

NOTE: Some programs require taking COMG-153; for these programs, the Test-Out option is not available. For those programs that do not require COMG-153, the competency test-out option is available and can be taken in the Academic Testing Center, located on the 3rd floor of the Mott Library.
