Today, there are many ways to build a successful career in building or industrial technology. However, moving up the career ladder requires you to take on additional responsibilities. When taking the next step into leadership, you will find work in sectors ranging from residential and commercial to military and industrial, project leaders in these areas should have the skills to adapt. Mott’s Building Construction Management program provides students with a comprehensive skill set and the experience to lead projects in a variety of industrial fields. After completion of this program, students are equipped to pursue diverse career pathways. Graduates work as business owners, construction managers, commercial construction superintendents, project managers, field engineer assistants, cost estimating assistants, consultants, and more.

Related Requirement Courses (10 credits)


Through the creation and utilization of the statewide articulation agreements with K-12 institutions, up to 10 credits may be awarded through State approved CTE programs in Architecture and Construction (CIP :46.0000) a workforce education program or through Prior Learning Assessment. The awarded credit would be for construction fundamentals, materials and building maintenance.

Computer Competency Requirement


Beginning 2016, demonstration of computer competency is a degree requirement at Mott Community College

Computer competency can be demonstrated by one of two ways:

NOTE: Some programs require taking COMG-153; for these programs, the Test-Out option is not available. For those programs that do not require COMG-153, the competency test-out option is available and can be taken in the Academic Testing Center, located on the 3rd floor of the Mott Library.
