This program is designed for students who have completed a recognized apprenticeship program. Depending upon the trade, students will elect a program option of electrician, machinist, or construction and maintenance. Students will be granted 20 credits toward the Associate of Applied Science degree for successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Occupational Specialty Courses


Mechanical Option


  • Select a minimum of 6 credits from MECH 100 level or higher Credits 6 / 8 Contact Hours

Electrical Option


  • Select a minimum of 6 credits from ELEC 100 level or higher Credits 6 / 7-8 Contact Hours

CADD Option


  • Select a minimum of 4 credits from CADD 100 level or higher Credits 4 / 4-6 Contact Hours

Computer Use - Select a minimum of 3 credits from the following

Computer Competency Requirement


Beginning 2016, demonstration of computer competency is a degree requirement at Mott Community College

Computer competency can be demonstrated by one of two ways:

NOTE: Some programs require taking COMG-153; for these programs, the Test-Out option is not available. For those programs that do not require COMG-153, the competency test-out option is available and can be taken in the Academic Testing Center, located on the 3rd floor of the Mott Library.
