ENGL-225 Poetry

Pre-requisite: Placement into ACRD-090, ACRD-091 or ACRD-092, completion of ELAP-110 with a minimum grade of 2.0, or successful completion of ACRD-080; Successful completion of ENGL-101  or ENGL-103  with a grade of 2.0 or higher.
This course introduces the study of poetry through analysis and appreciation, emphasizing poetic forms, devices, and themes. Students will explore a diverse range of poets and styles, examining how cultural and historical contexts shape poetic expression. Through close reading and discussion, students will develop skills in interpreting and critiquing poetry, enhancing their understanding and enjoyment of this literary form.
