ENGL-221 Introduction to Literature

Credits 3 / 3 Contact Hours
Pre-requisite: Placement into ACRD-090, ACRD-091 or ACRD-092, completion of ELAP-110 with a minimum grade of 2.0, or successful completion of ACRD-080; Successful completion of ENGL-101  or ENGL-103  with a grade of 2.0 or higher.
This course introduces the study of literature– poetry, fiction, and drama– through analysis and appreciation. Students will explore a diverse range of texts, examining how cultural and historical contexts shape literary expression. Through close reading and discussion, students will develop skills in interpreting and critiquing literature, enhancing their understanding and enjoyment of this art form.
