DHYG-243 Advanced Periodontology

Pre-requisite: Coordinator’s signature required to register in this course; Program Eligibility Requirements; Placement into College Level Reading, completion of ELAP-120 with a 2.0 or higher, or successful completion of ACRD-090, ACRD-091 or ACRD-092; DHYG-102, DHYG-103, DHYG-110, DHYG-113, DHYG-115, DHYG-118, DHYG-121, DHYG-122, DHYG-124, DHYG-125 and DHYG-180.
This course is an advanced evidence-based study of the etiology and the classification of periodontal diseases.  This course will provide the student with the necessary skill information for clinical patients with advanced periodontal diseases.

Course Outcomes
Core Course Objective 1: Utilize evidence-based decision making for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and implementation strategies for all types of periodontal disease classifications.
