BIOL-107L General Biology LabCredits 0 / 3 Contact Hours Pre-requisite: Placement into ACRD-090, ACRD-091 or ACRD-092, completion of ELAP-110 with a minimum grade of 2.0, or successful completion of ACRD-080. Co-requisite: Student must enroll in one section of BIOL-107 The laboratory section of a course for non-science majors. An introduction to biological science including a study of principal groups of the plant and animal kingdoms and broad consideration of the anatomy physiology development ecology and evolution of organisms.
Course Outcomes
- Compare the structural designs which enable organisms to adapt and survive in their particular environment.
- Analyze the behavioral mechanisms’ organisms employ to adapt to their specific niche.
- Discover the manner in which the environment produces adaptive pressures and how living organisms may affect the environment they survive in.
- Show how humanity is related to other organisms and how we fit into the physical environment.
