SOCW-236 Introduction to Social Welfare

Prerequisite: Placement into RDNG-016  (ACSR-016) (effective through Spring 2016)

Pre-requisite: Placement into RDNG 030  or successful completion of RDNG 016  , ACLT 075  or ACLT-076; SOCW 131 , minimum 2.0 (if not taken previously, course must taken concurrently) (effective Summer 2016)

 
The study of the history and development of social welfare policies from the earlier stages to the present. Topics include the roles of broad-based federal and state programs and their impact on society.
