MUS.-186 Introduction to Film MusicCredits 3 / 3 Contact HoursPrerequisite: Placement into ENGL-030 (ACSR-030) or successful completion of RDNG-016 , ACLT-075 or ACLT-076 Pre-requisite: ENGL-101 with a minimum grade of 2.0. This course is a study of the role that music plays in film. It includes a historical overview of film from the silent era to the present day. The importance of music to the film medium will be demonstrated through the classroom viewing of selected films and film scenes. A select number of composers will be emphasized with surveys of their most significant works. |
